Professionally I divide my time between two places.  I work in private practice in Rosendale, NY, at the Rosendale Family Therapy Center -- located near New Paltz and Kingston, NY, in Ulster County.  I also work as a Senior Counselor and Eating Disorders Specialist at the Psychological Counseling Center at SUNY New Paltz.  Across these two settings I provide both time limited and long-term psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and groups.  I also provide mental health consultation services, supervise therapists in training, and frequently give talks on issues such as eating disorders, depression, and diversity.

As an Adjunct Professor at SUNY New Paltz and at George Mason University I have taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses.  These include Personality Assessment, Personality Theory, Abnormal Psychology, Social Psychology, and History and Systems in Psychology.  I am currently a Faculty Supervisor and Adjunct Professor at Marist College, where I supervise counselors in training.

My past clinical experiences are varied and include working at several different counseling centers, at a community mental health clinic, and in a psychiatric emergency room.  In these experiences I have worked with a diverse population of clients and helped people with a wide range of problems.  I have experience and training in a variety of therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic psychotherapy, humanistic therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy.  While I draw from each of these approaches I primarily use a psychodynamic approach that is based on developing insight and implementing change.

I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the Hudson Valley Psychological Association, and the Hudson Valley Guild of Mental Health Professionals.
